Overview
calpercentage.com is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect (very little), how we use it, and your rights. The short version: we don't collect personal data, we don't use tracking cookies, and all calculations run entirely in your browser.
Information we do not collect
- No names, email addresses, or account information (there are no accounts).
- No calculation inputs — every calculation runs in your browser and is never sent to our servers.
- No payment data — the site is free with no purchases.
- No location data beyond what is standard in web server logs (see below).
Information we may collect automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may log standard technical information when you visit, including:
- Your IP address (anonymized or aggregated)
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring URL
This data is used only for diagnosing technical issues and understanding aggregate traffic patterns. It is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies
We use a single cookie-equivalent: a localStorage entry called theme to remember your dark/light mode preference. This value never leaves your device. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies.
Third-party services
We use Google Fonts to load the Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces. When your browser requests these fonts, Google may log the request per their own privacy policy. No other third-party services, analytics platforms, or ad networks are embedded on this site.
Children's privacy
calpercentage.com does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The site is a free utility tool with no registration or user-generated content.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
